The Mountain Home Education Foundation raises funds for post-secondary student scholarships and for innovative teaching projects. The latest scholarship program the MHEF sponsors is the Mountain Home Promise. Mountain Home graduates for the 2017 and 2018 academic years may attend Arkansas State University Mountain Home tuition free . Project Promiseis a scholarship program to help fund the tuition gap for all students graduating from Mountain Home High School attending two years at ASUMH.

Night of Honors is an event to observe excellence in community, volunteerisn, and professional work which recognizes former teachers, alumni, and community partners. The Mountain Home Education Foundation Board of Directors wishes to express its deepest condolences to the family of Mrs. Bonnie Brown. Bonnie was instrumental in forming the MHEF, served as our Board's first president, and impacted the lives of so many area young people through her work. The Mountain Home Education Foundation has been created to support the educational programs for both students and staff of the Mountain Home Public Schools. The MHEF will provide funds for educational programs and activities which either have not been funded or have been underfunded by the normal operating budget. These funds will be used to facilitate student achievement and skill development, to recognize and encourage staff excellence and to expand community involvement from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations. The $2,500 scholarship was donated to the MHEF by the Blumreichs to support students who have created a business plan while in high school and plan to continue their education in a business field. Dewey created a business plan for a Future Business Leaders of America competition her senior year. Anstaff Bank pledged $2500/year for five years to MHEF Projects.

It began in 1991 and was driven by successive groups of parent and community leaders, collectively referred to as Founders. Friends of the North Fork and White Rivers recently partnered with the Mountain Home Education Foundation to award a $1,000.00 scholarship. Students are required to complete FAFSA and the Youniversal scholarship. Traditional Scholarships provides funds for any Mountain Home graduate pursuing post-secondary education at any institution. Teaching Grant Challenges create partnerships between community businesses, MH Public Schools, and MH classroom teachers to create an innovative classroom project. Recognize staff, alumni and friends of the school district for exemplary contributions.
